The rooftop cabana is pretty much done now. A nice shady hangout spot with good breezes coming in from the sea. We have 2 workers coming daily now to work on the downstairs bodega/washer room, exterior shower, and studio apartment. Pictures coming next week of progress down there................ Off now for some afternoon surf (its a longboard day).

Surf Report
Every morning we walk down to the beach to check out the surf and general beach scene. I am surfing about 5 days / week with generally very nice 3-4 foot swells. I definately favor the longer period swells which are almost never seen in Oregon. This morning was a shorter period swell and a little bit like Oregon.

Bamboo Roof for cabana
Drove to a ladies ranch about 5 miles from Sayulita and cut bamboo to help her view out and make our cabana roof. Some of the bamboo was over 25 feet long that I had to cut in half. Will make another trip there next week to complete the job. Don't want to work too fast here ..........

Another week in Paradise
Typical day is coffee and breakfast then walking the dogs down to the beach ( about 5 mins) and tossing the ball into the waves for them to swim. Then back up the hill to gather gear for us to swim and surf either the local beach or drive 10 minutes to a beach that is much less crowded. Either way, ya can't go wrong...........
Then dinner plans for town or gather produce for dinner at home. Food is much cheaper here and I get the car gased up only once per month rather than once a week in Waldport.
The electric bill came today and it was $20. Only the frig, fans and a few lights.... nice not to have to pay for heating in the winter.
Next up......... figure out whether to work on a cabana on the roof top or start the 2nd bedroom under the home. It's sooooo easy just to relax and not get working on expanding the home.

Steps down from Casa Gloria to the beach.
